Rating by category:
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were cleaned earlier in the morning than other hotels.
The bed was a bit firmer than we're used to.
we liked the location doormen was always friendly and helpful, sadly the rest wasnt ,thats about it,
very confusing set up at sauna and stembath no help, aisians jump naked in spabath no one cares, feels like a bit anti western, pool closed between 10 and 12 ??????? very basic breakfast terrible cofee no eggs,
Location of the hotel is truly unbeatable. Although, of course there are other hotels in close proximity.
Hotel rooms need a face lift. Hotel staff could be more cordial in providing tips and tour ideas to hotel guests. Very plain reception staff not really knowing much about the area or not willing to offer advice on it. Additionally, while at other hotels of the same category the use of the computer in the lobby is free and while others offer in- room computers/laptops, this hotel charges us$ 2/hour to use the lobby's computer. Utterly ridiculous. One more thing I found absolutely disturbing was the fact that while the breakfast selection was ok, they charge extra for Cafe Suadaa, (Vietnamese iced coffee) where at other hotels, again same category, was offered as part of the breakfast selection.
Early check-in, perfect location, massage
24 hours Street noise (rooms at the 2d floor)
Great rooms, friendly and effective staff, delicious breakfast buffet, fantastic location right on the main road of the city center and - as the hotel is owned by the Vietnamese military - top security is also provided.
there was actually nothing special, that I really appreciated. Except the location, which was really in the center and next to an excellent restaurant called "Vietnamese cuisine".
in the bathroom the ceiling already lost the colour. Also there was moad next to the shower and the door already got damaged because of humidity in the bathroom. Furthermore the whole room was in really old fashioned style and looked pretty used. Quite dangerous was a open cable next to the bed, where little children can get hurt easily.
Good breakfast and exellent place to go shopping
The hotel has certainly been renovated recently. All facilities are in correct condition of use. Its location is perfect: downtown. Breakfast is good with choice (but close at 9.00 am which is early when on vacation, i.e. I took only half of my breakfast).
Choice is limited between room without window or room with noise. And I have been working and visiting asia for long, use to low standard in term of noise, but this hotel is certainly one of the worst: Do not expect to rest. Worst is that you are downtown, therefore street comes to be quiet very late and start to be noisy early.
Located within a couple of minutes' walk from the Opera House, with plenty of dining options in the streets close by.
The swimming pool is a bit small, but adequate
The hotel was in an excellent location, staff very helpful and able to speak english. Great buffet breakfasts and spacious rooms.
Front desk staff were very helpful. I liked the fact that they told me they would pack me a breakfast as I would be leaving too early for the regular buffet. Nice touch.
Perfect location, restaurants and bars all around.
Street noise. I would expect a hotel of this calibre to have double glazing.
Breakfast was excellent in every way. Location was a real plus easy walk to everything . Firstly, to only have to pay $10 for the ride from the airport is a plus. The reception was very good. It takes a few moments to tune your ear into the accent and broken English but we didn't have any trouble being understood or understanding. Concierge and other hotel staff were so attentive and gave excellent instructions to the sights all in the happiest and helpful manner possible. The dining room for breakfast was particularly attractive and the smorgasbord of delicious food etc was second to none. The Terrace Bar was quiet which suited us. Again staff excellent and happy to practice their English with us. We had some laundry done which was very reasonable and everything came back in good order with nothing missing! Massages great and cheap. Although we didn't swim in the pool it was a great size, well kept and had it's own bar. The gift shop off the foyer had a great selection to choose from. Of course prices were not as cheap as the Ben Than markets, but it was a lot more civilised shopping there and things were still cheap compared to what we are used to. All in all a great place to stay.
Having a room on the 5th floor alongside the street, meant there was a bit of street noise noticeable at bedtime.
The hotel was very nice, clean and well appointed. Staff were very courteous ,friendly and helpful. I would recommend to friends and family. There was a a rooftop pool which I enjoyed and they had a lovely breakfast which was included. The hotel is right downtown close to the Opera, restaurnats and other hotels of a good class.
I need to have a soft mattress and found the mattresses on the firm side.
Reception staff very helpful....good breakfast.
Small almost tiny swimming pool! 2 single beds joined and very hard mattresses ....street noisy all night on junction.
